TBD

TBD on Ning

Via internet stream you can listen to a variety of interesting music.

Google WQNA to find the stream. The show is called Fear and Loathing in Springfield and it airs 6 - 9PM CST on Sunday evenings.

It may uplift the downtrodden and down trod the uplifted. Some may faint, others may experience moments of rage and in some cases hilarity.

Merry, it was worth staying up til 2 am! I finally had to sign off while it was still going strong, but it was great, and so much fun to hear our DJ Snaggy's voice on the air!

Very easy to do, too, so go to the site now and put it into your 'Favorites' so you won't miss next Sunday. Or any day, for that matter; there are some others doing good work on that station, too! Check out the programs.

I didn't stay long enough to see if you played any Baby Gramps, Snagg - did you find something? He is such a piece of work! I used to hang around and listen to him while I did my shopping in the Pike Place Market - just thinking about him makes me smile, even now.

I didn't play any Baby Gramps, as A of the W wasn't long enough for me to get some dinner AND run home to get any stuff by him....And come to think of it, what little I have by him, none of it was about America or any of the specific states - Although, if anybody should do an original kick-ass song about the state of Washington, it SHOULD be him....

Always something interesting.

Question: I'm not sure what to do when I am attributing credit for covers. I used to list the band being covered (I.E., (the Rolling Stones) ). But, when you look at the credits on albums or lyric sites, it's accredited to whoever actually wrote the song (I.E., (William Bell/Booker T. Jones) ). When I played that batch of Elvis covers, you all knew those were Elvis covers, 'cause you all knew the songs, so I figured it was better to list the actual writers. But sometimes, the covers I play are so out there that even a well-known song becomes unrecognizable, or the song itself is already so obscure that listing the writer instead of the band winds up accomplishing nothing. This presents a (very mild) ethical question. What do you guys think I oughta do? The fate of Western Civilization hangs in the balance...
I don't want to be held responsible for the decline of the empire...
I like the band rather than the writer.
