Last 10 update and "Getting back on the horse..."

You're kidding me, right? It's December 29th already?! Where did the time go and what have I been doing?! Oh, that's right....working!! I've tried to squeeze in some good livin' (and some lovin' along the way) but work has dominated. Once fall hit I went into high gear at work and have barely taken my hand from the plow for a second. This week, however, with the offices closed, I am taking some much needed and desired time to rest, breath deeply, reflect and reconnect.

Tea and Sympathy

There's a small part of me that leans...occasionally...to the conservative side of the spectrum. Actually, I will confess to having a bit of sympathy for the current rash of Tea Party attendees. Livin' out here on "The Leelanau". They paid their last respects to Harry today.

Today I attended the funeral service for Harry. He was one of the old boys. He was a link to times gone by, and he lived in Leelanau County...."The Leelanau" was not his home.

Harry was not an book educated guy. He left school at a very young age, and went to work. It was rumored that he couldn't read or write. He joined the US Navy during WWII, and put himself in harms way to save his ship. He never said much about it, but it took 41 years before he was awarded a medal for his… Continue

My son has testicular cancer

A special Day at a preschool....

I had the opportunity on Dec.23,to play guitar and recorder songs with 30 four year olds at Perkins Elementary School in Western New York.We had a Christmas and Holiday sing-along and the looks on their faces made it so worth while.My ex-girlfriend,who's still a good friend of mine, put it all together weeks ago.I had gone to NYC to see the recorder and Baroque virtuoso Michala Petri at the Starr Theater in Lincoln Center,and was excitedly full of music apon my return.

Lost in a world which cannot understand

My brother will not be free to have a Christmas tree. He will be spending the next 3 to 4 years in Prison scrubbing floors down on his knees. Unwanted child left behind by a working mother just trying to make ends meet, he slipped through the cracks of society. Some people think everything is already meant to happen..set up by a God they say. I don't believe that that is true...How could a good God be so cruel?

Something is wrong with the way people look at me, or is it the way I look at them?

I always wonder why more people don't dance in the streets. Then I figured it out..Its because we are all the judge and the jury..looking for exacts, looking to keep ourselves in safe boxes where we have almighty control of everything around us every second of every day.
