Right now take-out Chinese sounds good. Except my favorite place doesn't deliver and I don't want to go out. In the heat. And the rain. And the Tornado warning.
Tonight is going to be one of my favorites. Chicken picotta, and a side dish of a blend of wild and whole grain brown rice. I used to make veal picotta, but it is too expensive, and I found that if i pound out the chicken thin enough it makes a fine substitute.
Boneless pork chops marinated in a mix of Hoisan Sauce, A-1 Steak Sauce, Kikkoman Soy Sauce, Italian Dressing (from the pizzeria where I work), Cajun Hot Sauce (not even 1/2 a teaspoon) and 3 oz. of Miller High Life.
Served with a vegetable medley of green, yellow and red bell pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery and white onion and mashed potatoes.
Dessert: Bryer's Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.
Stir - MICHIGAN PEACHES! mmmm......... can you please send me some??
I don't know why Georgia has a reputation for peaches & Michigan doesn't - Michigan's peaches are delicious, and beat any Georgia peach I've ever had!
Oh, and I had pan-seared ribeye tonight with.... what else? sauteed Vidalia onions. '-)

We made it to that great Southern institution, The Waffle House tonight. I ate eggs, sausage and scattered hash browns. Caleb had a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit.
