I am so sad to hear that Ted Kennedy has lost his fight with brain cancer. He was the last voice of the 60s liberalism in the Senate. We need to work harder now.

I'm ready to cry. This is a big loss for the country. This man was the most important man in the senate. A GREAT LOSS for our country.
and to think he's missed conferencing with the congress on his beloved project, and will miss the final vote.... A sad ending....
It is so amazing those kennedys coming from the previlaged family, yet they have been fighting for peoples who don't have any says in political process. It is sad story that Ted Kennedy who fought for universal health coverage since 1969 not to seeing passed. In my opinion, the Kennedys live the christian life in action and deeds.

You are correct Jacquin.

Ted Kennedy was one of the first proponents of a national health care plan in the 70s. I'm sad (for him, especially) that despite his years of relentless effort toward that goal he still was not able to see his dream become a reality.
