Sylvia...what with our move to a new home, we have been blessed with getting to know many new feathered friends, as well as our old acquaintances, the bluejays.  All THEIR young are now knowing gentle humans, and responding in kind.  Our heat wave of a week or so was our only bout with extremes...and I did not enjoy it in the least.  And our very wet and flooding Spring of over eight weeks in duration has wandered into a normal Northeast summer of cool nights and balmy days, and just enough rainy weather to keep the grasses green and the leaves full and flushed in shade giving shades of emerald.  I already ache for the harvest, and the laying to rest of all the growing and striving, and relishing the bounty of all the effort and hard work and relaxing...slowing down...putting to bed all that has grown so splendidly.  I truly think autumn is the most blessed of all the four seasons.  A little of this, a little of that, and a bit of time to just appreciate the cycle of Life before resting for the winter before we start it all up again....not a bad way to live.

Jim, you've overwhelmed me with art once again.   I love the blue jay and am looking forward to the time of nature's canopy.    It's been such an incredibly hot summer here.   The stained glass is awesome, and I feel like drowning in the sea of purple.    Thanks for giving me such photographic inspirations.
