Something For Boomers To Think About ...

An interesting study at Duke University Medical Center found that older people who attended religious services at least once a week  have a healthier immune system.

Thus I reckon, Free Thinkers and Agnostics can be healthier too, with regular meditation or yoga, or something like that.

So what can Atheist do to stay healthy besides regular exercise, which is what I do.  I say a little prayer before every ping pong game; "Let Us Play", "Amen."

i suspect that the haelth benifit cuold be acheived by weekly partisipatoin in any activity with a gruop that is focused on goodwill and comunity.

As example working with others in a soup kitchen. To be a active partisipent serving the greater good with others does increase ones feeling of wellbeing.

We are Pak or Tribal animals protecting the yuong or standing in place passing buckets of water to put uot the fire are natural actions and tie us together. We do not normaly fare as wel in a solitary state withuot concerns or responsibilitys to others of uor kind.

I suspect this theory is based on taking time off for ourself's and learning how to relax -- taking time off and letting our conscious mind find peace. Pray is good for that, I'm not sure my escape into play is quite the same thing.  I hope so lol ....

healthier immune system...?
