TBD on Ning

When I come to work it is dark.  I live in a very rural area so it is very dark.  Lately I have noticed there are idiots (yes, idiots) riding their bikes at 4:00 in the morning on very dangerous highways.  WTH, are they trying to get killed??  I am not a bike rider enthusiast anyway but gee, they are going to become roadkill.  Is this Dawins therory?

thats a pretty sick way to make money dwalt .. but then nothin surprises me anymore ..

Never happened to me but it did to a friend of mine.
Wow, I didn't know it was that bad, sorry snagg. I am like my dad, he always said "I'm not going to pedal my legs off to give my a$$ a ride" But then I also broke my back in two places and it hurts to ride one.

Bicycling is like anything else: A potential good time, an activity that harms no one and generally produces good results - Yet is an activity that some shithead just has to screw up for everybody else.

I know in many other countries riding a bike is a primary means of transportation, rather than a car.
I rode a bike from the time I was able to...to school, shopping, traveling from one place to another. Most of the time now it's for leisure. Folks need to be safe when riding...lights, reflective clothing etc. But car drivers need to pay attention also.
I was thinking about buying a scooter to ride back and forth to school...it's a bit too far to ride a bike. I've never been struck by a car...not that couldn't happen. I have been in several fender benders and a couple more serious accidents.
Ya can't guarantee that every idiot on the road, bike or car, is going to drive defensively...I asssume that intelligence isn't a requirement for driving.

I had a friend who was from Germany and I wasn't sure if he was putting me on about having to get a license for riding a bike but they seem strict about it and well thought out.
