Car Pooling

A lot of people here do car pool. I tried it once and, nope, not for me. I was the one that always drove will they griped about my radio station, it wasn't warm enough, etc. The killer came (almost literally) when I got to their house and he came out "I'm not going in today" Welll a$$hole why didn't you call??? Have any stories??

Never car pooled to work. I have "car pooled" to go out with my girlfriends and I almost always end up being designated driver, which usually is not a problem since I seldom want to have more than one or two drinks anyway, but ... I've told them a couple of times now that I WILL be staying until "x" time - and if they will want to leave earlier or stay later, or go somewhere else - they don't need to ride with me, only to have one of them say they are bored and want to go home or whine about leaving when I want to. I'm pretty much done with that. I absolutely can't enjoy myself if I want to stay and one of them is pouting, no matter that I TOLD them I was staying! Seems a shame to have to take 2 or 3 cars to and from almost the same place (two of us live in the same complex, and one lives a short distance away and will drive here so we can all go together. I don't get it. I've ridden with them a time or two, I've been bored after a certain point but saw they were having a good time and I kept myself occupied until they were ready to go... but this last time just really did it for me! I REALLY would have been ticked off if I had driven out of my way to pick someone up and they came out and said they weren't going, Dwalt!!

Yep, that was the last time he got in my car. I never charged for gas or anything (I've heard that can make you liable if there were an accident or such) Funny story though. He started riding a bike to the bus transit and then would take the bus as close to work and ride the bike on in to work. Well it stays dark up here in the winter until 8:00-8:30 am. He comes in like someone was after him. Turns out a coyote cased him from the bus stop to work. Guess I have a weird sense of humor because I still laugh about that.

I never thought about charging for gas since i just figured I'd be using the gas to get there anyway! May have thought about it going to work though...

I've too a few people to work , First love to work , a distant cousin twice removed . Last time i took him . He wouldn't go in the shop to work . Just sit in my car all morning . Took him home , never again . Most friends didn't want me to ride with them because they knew i would fart on their seat ....

I would rather go swimming pooling than car pooling.

I've done it a few times, no real problems because I was very selective in who I would car pool with. I actually thought it worked well. I also car pooled with a group but it was very inconvenient for me to drive to the pick up place so I opted out of that and found a new member for the group.
