DD continues to improve, her beautiful brain making new neural pathways like crazy. It's hard work, so her mind and body both tire very easily--understandably.
Her sister leaves tonight, so I'm a bit apprehensive, but I'm sure she'll do fine. She has physical and occupational therapists coming to the house over the next few days, and then a friend will come stay for a short while to get her to her neurologist and vascular surgeon's appointments. And Suzan has several acquaintances who will also help out.
Keep on truckin', DD!
I have faith in my little sister!!!
I've followed her posts on Facebook, she seems in good spirits.
She is, Funes. We talk every day and laugh hysterically about being "Gumby-ed out."
A couple of days ago we were bantering back and forth--one-upping one another with horrifying and funny things our screwed up bodies do--when she made a big gesture and then said loudly, startled, "OH MY GOD, it's my ARM!!!!" We both nearly suffocated laughing.
She's a wonder.
Me too, Tee! :>)
After four days in the hospital, two ct scans, and three X-Rays all they can tell me is that it's either a small bowel obstruction or an illious.
Oh, brother, Tee--you've really been through the mill again!! What's the next step? Are they taking the ol' "wait and see" approach or are they going in?
Sending you healing energy, much love, and many prayers, and a pair of big, pointy cowboy boots in case you want to kick some ass. You're entitled.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 XOXOXOXOXOXOX
They are taking the wait and see approach for now. (((HUGS)))
