Chucks is gone and so is his Q&A Group. As JayLee feared so are the Vibes. Since there is no Question and answer group there appears to be no check in.

 

So Let's do it over here. It's the start of the weekend! Time to have fun.

 

There is all kinds of bad news.

1. Looks like tbd is splintering.

2. After two days the TBD Stalwarts has only 7 members.

3. The Stock Market tanked yesterday.

4. The end of the world is near.

5. The Zombies are still here

   I was deeply hurt by Trost when he removed me from his friends list for posting the snide comment "Why do people that don't believe in evolution need it the most" Maybe we can form a self-pity group here -  Rejected By The Great and Wise Trost.

I'm kinder and gentler (I think) than I was when I joined TBD.  On line, as in real life I tended to push back when someone pushed me.  I've never tolerated being called out in public when online.  I've always felt a PM was the way to go. 

Maybe we were all just seeking our own levels in the early TBD.....staking a claim.  I remember unfriending people who seemed pompous and overly full of themselves.

Its kinda funny that Mark Trost's name has popped up on this thread.  When I first joined TBD, and was being ignored in Q & A, I answered one of Mark's questions, and he quickly PMed me and thanked me....it seems that he was looking for something in the answers, and I tuned in on it.  He also sent me a friend request, at a time when I had maybe three other friends.

I occasionally exchange pleasantries with him on FB these days.  We've never been especially close, but I like knowing what he's up to.

OH, I'm pretty sure Scooter is the guy you're talking about. I think he had a bleeding heart as his avatar at one time. He was always talking about being drunk and riding his motorcycle.

I don't understand why Mark Trost keeps coming up. He told me that my attempts at humor was pathetic and then posted once that the only one on tbd that was his intellectual equal was Danny O. and that the rest of us were pretty boring. Then he wrote a book. All at once he wanted everyone to be his friend.

Stir, hope it doesn't effect our friendship but I do disagree with you about PMs. I rarely PM anyone.  there have been many people leave tbd because of the PMs they got from others. Then the rest of us are left here wondering; Did I do something to cause the person to leave? for example; I know that unwanted PMs were part of the reason Pru left.

I have to say, I've never received (nor sent) a vile or spiteful or vulgar PM.  I have had things explained more fully to me via the PM, and that's more what I was refering to.

The most tedious PMs I've received came from a former member who shall remain anonymous (OK, it was Ad1).  He really was a crude troublemaker, and would try to enlist me into taking his side when people got fed up with him........he considered me his "Bro"!   Jeez, lucky me, eh?
