On the advice of several other members, all of varying degreeds of repute and regard (Yet whom I hold in some esteem), I am taking this opportunity to invite any of you with bored, hungry ears to listen to my little radio show, "Fear & Loathing In Springfield", tonight from 6:00 to 9:00 pm CST at www.wqna.org.
Tired of formatted-to-death AOR piffle, smarmy "Country", snoozarama "Lite Rock" and "Classic (Ptooey) Rock"? Good and sick of predictability? Want to while away a couple of hours hearing bands and performers that do NOT toe the line? If yer innerested, it don't cost nuthin' to sneak in and take a little listen. This is all 100% non-profit, unpaid volunteer lunacy at it's eccentric best, not shamelessly servile corporate entertainment, so if yer easily offended, annoyed or irritated - Read No Further. Save us both some time. (If you've begun to uncontrollably drool all over yer keyboard, well then by all means...Welcome Aboard.) We stream on three different bandwidths, so you should have no problem pulling down some signal, and I will be reachable through this site while I'm on the air. Actual requests made on demand - IF I have what you want in my bag of tricks, and that's a 50 / 50 proposition at best.
Howzabout for starters the Beatles "Abbey Road" - done entirely by 13 different bands, one per song? (It's "Abbey Road"'s 40th anniversary, for those of you that keep track of such things.) Some versions respectful...Some not.
