TBD

TBD on Ning

Via internet stream you can listen to a variety of interesting music.

Google WQNA to find the stream. The show is called Fear and Loathing in Springfield and it airs 6 - 9PM CST on Sunday evenings.

It may uplift the downtrodden and down trod the uplifted. Some may faint, others may experience moments of rage and in some cases hilarity.

That's the plan, although it's not exactly "me" doing it - It's something set up by another staff member, and sometimes somebody, somewhere, ahead of me forgets and shuts the damn thing off - And I don't know how to start it back up. Gets tricky. (*sigh*)

I actually was in a fairly mellow mood, and kept it dialed down a notch for the most part.

Not entirely, of course. Gotta toss in a few ear-bleeders. But then, "Oar" won "A of the W", which is about as gentle and laid-back (With little touches of psychosis constantly nibbling at all the edges) an album as you're going to find.

You might have been niggled.
Nice song to end the show with.  I have a legitimate excuse this week for missing the show.  Spent the last seven days in Davenport, IA working.   Not too far from you.
The goddamned computer crashed THREE TIMES that night - Everything was recorded, but it crashed before I could ever hit the "Save" button. Lost to posterity, I'm afraid...
Tonight's Special: The Fifth Annual Bob Dylan's Birthday show. Mucho rare, little heard and flat-out legally questionable recordings of Mr Zimmerman covering his entire career, with a sprinkling of other artists doing deeply-respectful-to-heedless-neck-snapping interpretations of some of Bob's better-known songs. Or not better-known. Jump in an' takes yer chances.

Blind Willie McTell is one of my favorite Dylan songs. I've never heard another version from the one you played.
There's a version of it on the first "Bootleg Series" set, from 1991, I do believe...This version is at about the 55:00 minute mark...
