I need credentials to be a liberal ?!
Somehow I doubt that it was a liberal that came up with that idea...
rant: my knee hurt yesterday, it has screws in it.
Rave: today knee felt great but i got a charlie horse in the other leg/calf waking up this morning.
Gee, That seems strange, I thought that there were more than three liberals on tbd.
Hey now...I only subscribe to one party....Jaylee's "I'll defend your right to be wrong"...so there. ;->
@ Quinn's skin share: That is AWESOME, Quinn! YAY!!!
& hip-hip-hooray to Teebs - our hero!
"the three liberals that hang out here"?
hmmmm..... that is so odd, b/c I often brag that tbd is chock full of liberals! ...we must hang out in different hallways.
Why does Chris Matthews have to be SO LOUD?!?!?! Sheesh!!!!!! I want to hear what his guests have to say, but I can't take all his YELLING instead of talking.
2nd rant: I may need an exorcism. I've been watching the debates & I've noticed myself agreeing with some of the things some of the candidates are saying recently. Even a couple of things PERRY & HUNTSMAN & EVEN RON PAUL said on Meet the Press this morning.
O M G! Now I'm yelling like Chris Matthews! WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?!?!?!?
Rave: it's too intimate to share here. I'll just say that I have had one of the best mornings ever.
Kinda wish I hadn't turned on Meet the Press & Chris Matthews at the end of it.
You actually agree with some of what those idiots are saying????
*Bless yer heart*
Well, you need to hear me out.
...I agree w/Ron Paul that the candidates should stop the superficiality of the debates & although character is important that the focus s/b on issues instead of character.
...I agree w/Huntsman that we shouldn't sacrifice whole agencies in order to cut our deficit.
And I agree w/his response to this statement by Romney:
"I just think it’s most likely that the person who should represent our party running against President Obama is not someone who called him a remarkable leader and went to be his ambassador in China."
when Huntsmen said: "This nation is divided, David, because of attitudes like that. The American people are tired of the partisan division. They have had enough. There is no trust left among the American people and the institutions of power and among the American people and our elected officials. And I say, we’ve had enough, and we have to change our direction in terms of coming together as Americans first and foremost and finding solutions to our problems."
I understand your agreement....those statements however are neutral positions that could be held by anyone. BUT......imo, if ANY one of the republican candidates should happen to inhabit the Oval Office this next term, that will be the last nail in the coffin of the middle class.
How many rants do I get in one day?
Okay, I stopped watching TV a few years ago, but now that I cohabitate w/Ducatiman we have a TV & he watches news shows like The News Hour & Meet the Press. He left for the airport for a flight out before Meet the Press ended this morning, so I left the TV on & was assaulted by Chris Matthews without turning it off. And now - I'm sitting here w/my mouth open, watching a very amateur local show w/2 women & guests who are ALL so ridiculously sugarry sweet and amateur and superficial & over-the-top southern that it's like passing a car wreck; I don't want to watch, but I can't tear myself away.
I think Ducatiman might have to move the TV to his little study. It's just too toxic for me.
I like TV. You just have to be careful what you watch.
Anyone see Downton Abbey last night on PBS? Really, really good!
