TBD

TBD on Ning

Due to much misunderstanding recently, I'm finding it necessary to display NING's rules on sexual content.  Violating them can mean the removal of this site.  I am asking all individuals and group moderators to please adhere to them.

There are many old, sexually related groups on this site.  These were spawned at a time when this site had little or no moderation and it was the creation of so many such groups on the NING network as a whole that caused them to implement these stricter guidelines.  I never closed or removed the old groups because the nature of our membership when I took ownership of this site gave me no reason to do so.  The members were content to let the groups die without me having to remove the posts of previous members.  Had I realized that there would one day be a sudden influx of new members who were unaware of NING's policies, I would have made certain that these groups were made inaccessible to the incoming people.

I want to make sure that everyone is aware of the nature of this site, before they get settled-in.  This is not just a TeeBeeDee thing...it is much bigger than that.

One additional note.  Many of the groups created here claim that they are without rules or guidelines.  This is untrue.  Every active group on the site is subject to the guidelines put forth by NING and the TeeBeeDee social networking site.

POLICY ON PORNOGRAPHY, ADULT CONTENT OR NUDITY

We believe in freedom of expression and Ning, as a broad-based service, is designed to respect many different perspectives and enable them to co-exist seamlessly and effortlessly. With that said, we do not permit pornography, adult content or nudity. To clarify what we define as adult content, nudity or pornography, networks that contain the following would clearly NOT be allowed:

  • Depictions or images of sexual acts or implied sexual activity
  • Nudity (exposed or see-though coverage of areas typically covered by a bathing suit or underwear)
  • Graphic photos or videos
  • Fetishes

Assuming the content mentioned above is not included, the following are examples of topics and content that would NOT be classified as adult content, nudity or pornography:

  • Ning Networks for heterosexual, gay, lesbian or transgender individuals
  • Breast Feeding networks, provided that there is no visible nipple or areola
  • Educational networks promoting safe sex

We recognize that the actions of one member do not reflect the intentions of an entire network or the Network Creator, however, we ask that you please take advantage of the many tools built in to your network to ensure that all of the content and members on your network fit within our rules, and yours!

I'm with you DD...hopefully those who are unhappy can just move on.

I dunno know about the singles, sex, and relationships mix for the "busyness" of a site. I do think folks have to be interested enough to want to participate and even then only a few do. What will be, will be.

Ok....who pooped too close to the house this time???

You do have a way with words Bob.

Well....you know me. I just mosey through every now and then and stir the piles.

Love your comments Kathy.  I was also a moderator in a group on EONS and it seemed so peculiar to me that some people join and NEVER posted a thing.  And, yes, it was always a few that carried any group.  I guess most people are just watchers!  And it is always is the lesser intelligent amongst us that resort to the profanity.

If I have to explain that........you would not understand it!

Trying to simplify this:

1. If the picture is of a female, then it cannot expose the following:

   - from the outer edge of the areola in;

   - vaginal hair, or if going Kojack, anything showing the actual vagina;

   - butt crack

2. If the picture is of a male, then it cannot expose the following:

  - dangling parts

  - butt crack

3. If there are no pictures, then words are OK, including stories, erotica, graphic descriptions of sexual acts, etc., as long as no words are used to attach other people participating in discussions.

Is this correct?

No, the words are not okay.  We are in the process of shutting down the groups that contain erotica and sexual descriptions.  A few groups containing such are still here as a courtesy to allow those who have posted to retrieve their material.  New posting in the erotica groups is not allowed.

Is this a NING or a TEEBEEDEE restriction?

It is both.  Please read the guidelines.

There's nothing there about words, stories, etc. It seems to all be related to images, movies, etc.
