I was very seriously nearly murdered today....and I am not joking.  Ok--welll maybe not murdered---but who knows how much damage could have been done to my adorable little body?  Yeah--actually---come to think of it......I was very nearly murdered today!!!

Here is what happened.  I was coming out of a Stop And shop, (The Northeast answer to Krogers) walking towards my vehicle.  Now remember--this is a PARKING LOT, and I at this time WAS A PEDESTRIAN WALKING in this parking lot.  All of a sudden this vehicle which was being driven by this lady TALKING ON A CELL PHONE, obviously not paying attention, and driving at a speed that should never, ever even be considered to be used any where in any parking lot what soever came zooming down the lane.

I am telling you folks--if it wasn't for my ability to feel vibrations, (Being deaf--my sense of touch is hyped, allowing me to feel vibrations instead of hearing noises), I would not be using this keyboard--and maybe not even breathing this air right now----I was able to jump quick enough and far enough to cause this lady to miss me by mere inches--and I don't think I am exaggerating.  If I didn't have heart problems before now--I sure heck would have gain them today.

Now--I do not know what was being said to her on that cellphone that would encourage the female driver to be so uncourteous to anyone who may or may not have been in front of her vehicle---but I gotta ask you something.  The last time I check--the rule was that pedestrians always had the right of way ESPECIALLY IN A PARKING LOT.  Now does this rule still exist--or did my life hang in the balance for nothing today????

there are people who want to be hit by this woman on cell phone so they can collect their check ;-)
Glad you're ok HEART. There's no excuse the way people drive on the highways, let alone parking lots. Interesting it was a woman. It used to be that men were primarily the wreckless culprits. Look around at the aggressive drivers today, you will find the gender mix to be equal. Driving truck for the last 14 years, I've noticed more and more aggressive women, mostly teens and young women. I've read where statistics from insurance companys show this.
I bet u had a lot of crazies shareing the road with u over the last 2 weeks. Did you notice all of the drivers using cellphones while u were on the road?
Yes on both counts, crazies and cellphone use.
They banned cell phone while driving here.
The dummies still use their cell phone.
I was going around a two lane corner and some nut was talking away.
She started heading for my lane (I was right next to her). I went into the ditch.
I was so shocked I didn't even blow the horn.
Hell I always drive in the ditch... Safer there. lol
