the idea that MSNBC reports any more or less truth than say Fox is preposterous.

 The Exec.Order allows the nationalization of pretty much the entire USA even in peacetime if he desires. They can, under this order, restrict civilian travel by any mode, including (probably) foot travel. They can ration food. They can restrict water usage, even from private wells. They can ration any and all drugs, including OTC and vitamins. They can collectivize farms. They can take over all energy production, including home solar units.

It also allows for drafting civilians. If they have need of your skills, they can compel you to work for no compensation.

All this not in a time of war, but in time of “National Emergency” (several EO national emergency states already in place) or even in Peacetime

(f) “Food resource facilities” means plants, machinery, vehicles (including on farm), and other facilities required for the production, processing, distribution, and storage (including cold storage) of food resources, and for the domestic distribution of farm equipment and fertilizer (excluding transportation thereof).

They can take charge of all aspects of food production and processing.

Uhhh....Tool I think what you're referring to here is a continuation of an exucative order stemming from the knee jerk reaction of shrub when he created the Home land security act after 9-11. I believe it was about to expire so to appease the conservatives and tea partyiers he just renewed something that has been there since the days of shrub.

An executive order that Barack Obama signed the other day is making headlines all over the nation. The title of the executive order is “National Defense Resources Preparedness” and it is actually an update of a series of previous executive orders.

The original “National Defense Resources Preparedness” executive order (EO 8248) was issued back in 1939. This latest version is very similar to EO 12919 that was signed by Bill Clinton in June 1994. However, several very important changes have been made in this new version.

For example, in Section 201(b) the words “under both emergency and non-emergency conditions” have been added.

So now the federal government can take control of all food, all energy, all health resources, all transportation resources and “all other materials, services, and facilities” in the country even if the United States is not experiencing emergency conditions.

I certainly do not doubt some or even many Republicans we're pushing it.

I think a heavy majority of our congress, courts, and yes even the presidents, past and president have sold us out to the banksters. I believe we are in serious trouble and even contemplating that one party or the other is going to fix it is absolutely idiotic thought. I also think that the people are waking up to this fact in extremely large numbers and the Government is moving into a position to be able to attempt tyrannical control of the population.

What I'm hoping is that this impending tyrannical gummit will maybe create a few jobs for old people........jobs spying on the rest of the citizens.  They wouldn't really have to pay us much.....ten bucks an hour would be just fine for me.

Heck, we're already suspicious of a lot of stuff anyway....this might work out real well.
