While perusing The Washington Post Headlines this morning, I noticed that most of them delt with doom and gloom. Then I noticed and connected these two;
Where $56 Million Dome Couldn't Fetch $600 Grand.
Localities Are Promised Say In Trials
So, putting these two together; I thought, why not let the city of Pontiac, MI host the trails in the Silver Dome? Just think of the possibilities. The Silver Dome holds what, 100,000? give a contract to sell the seats to Rush and Keith and stand back. Then there are all the concessions. Just think how many security personnel would have to be brought in.
Well I'll let the good, innovative, members of tbd think up ideas to help poor Pontiac.

Pru, Your point is well taken. My excuse is that I was running late for an appointment with the eye doctor and just put the headlines as they appeared in the articles. The idenification of "what" trials came after the headline. I agree it dosen't make much sense without stating to what trials the headline is refering.

I think because it could quack. rabbits usually don't make many sounds. And its a good thing. If rabbits made noise while having sex, people in rural areas would never get any sleep.

Not to be accused of getting back on subject, or anything, but I've read where just the maintenance on the Silver Dome runs the City of Pontiac several million a year. Sad to say, the city might be better off cutting their losses and taking the 600Gs.
The whole saga of the Silver Dome, from its beginning, would make a good case study to support the novel idea....."Pro Teams, build your own freakin' stadia!" Bring your own money to the table, and leave the governmental units to tend to their other woes.

Actually, they took less than the 600K. It was sold. Now the guy who bought it, and the city of Pontaic are trying to figure a way for him to do something with it that would bring some money into the area.
