OK Demoncratic Congress...this IS your notice. Grow a pair...a big brass pair...and DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. Pass Health Care and get it off the table. I WANT a single payer system. I want a PUBLIC OPTION. You need to examine MANDATORY anything...employer or individual. BUT..you need to do SOMETHING...NOW.

There isn't a soul on the other side of the aisle who will stand with you and do what needs to be done. Fuck them. It's time for you to grab your brass pair and do what the people ELECTED you to do. Should you fail...should you turn chicken....just keep in mind that there is another election and that damned soon...and I'll find a Demoncrap who DOES have a brass pair and send THEM to take your place. I'm tired of watching you get bitch slapped by the cRyghtbabies.

Get a Move on.

The People are speaking they dont' want the health care bills as they are,
My sentiments exactly, Madhatter!
I was part of a "Co-op" for many years....KAISER PERMANENTE. As far as it went, it was good...and I can't complain about the costs at all. From those I've heard recently though, such Co-ops are difficult to establish, rarely cover enough people to make them viable, and do not have the clout to negotiate with any Major Pharm for lower prices.

The "Public Option Mandatory" bothers me a great deal. Perhaps I'm just not familiar with the concept yet. HOWEVER, INSISTING that any individual MUST be covered is not what this country is about. CHOICE is what this country thrives on...and removing that choice...FORCING the issue...doesn't sit well with me. There are too many sincere religious people who would refuse on those grounds.

BTW...thanks for the link. I followed it and asked two questions. One was about what constitutes "mandatory" and the other I'd love to hear explained:

Why can't the system that our Congresscritters enjoy simply be expanded to include anyone who'd like to avail themselves of it?
NYT headline this a.m.: DEMOCRATS SET TO GO ALONE ON A HEALTH CARE BILL - CITE RESISTANCE BY GOP. Is it so? Or a risky game of "chicken"?
I am confused which is not unusual. Are we talking about the public option being a mandatory as a part of the overall plan or are we talking about it being mandatory that people have insurance. I personally believe everyone should be covered if not some will chose to not enroll, save their money and when they get sick it will cost more and all of us will have to pay for it just like we do now.
So did I. I asked why it was alright to make those who made over $250,000 dollars help pay for a health care plan and the middle class not taxed?
Theft is Theft no matter how you name it (or tax it)
John F. Kennedy:

We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.
I am thankful for President Obama, for His thought's, His commitment to create a way for change, and for all that he is trying to put into action. He can only present and direct, it is the American people who must make their voices heard and support/reject what our President is trying to do for us as a nation.

I thank you all for the ongoing voices, intelligent conversations, and Please let us not treat one another as some have been treated on the right. Harshness, anger, rudeness and closing doors does not create change, nor does it allow for more to enter when the door is closed. Just my thinking here, friends! Blessings, T
