We probably would never have known each without him. What is your opinion of his contribution to society? I have alway seen him a one the very few true visionaries.

Much agreed. Another great person, gone too soon,
"The most compelling reason for most people to buy a computer for the home will be to link it to a nationwide communications network. We’re just in the beginning stages of what will be a truly remarkable breakthrough for most people––as remarkable as the telephone.” [Playboy, Feb. 1, 1985]

He was sometimes critical of Gates and Microsoft, accusing him of not being innovative. When you see what Jobs accomplished you can understand better why he felt that way.

My favorite quote of his, and one that I think speaks volumes of his character...

"It’s more fun to be a pirate than to join the navy.”

He fought a valiant fight. Rest in peace...
Amen.
Yes.

I wonder who he would have invited to a dinner party if he could invite any historical figures of his choice. But then I wonder what people like Johannes Gutenberg would do with today's technology and perhaps Steve Jobs did too.

Kudos to Steve Jobs , he actually changed things in a methodical , deliberate way.

Maybe part of being brilliant is just a matter of recognizing your opportunities and utilizing them.

I liked what he said about simplicity and focus. Those are my two biggest challenges too. That and trying not to waste time.

A remarkable man. Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. My thoughts & prayers are w/his family & friends. Thank you, P.A. for posting this.
