Okay, let's see if you believe this one.

Pea goes down wrong way, sprouts in lung.

"Ron Sveden braced himself for the worst news when he asked doctors why he was coughing. He's laughing now."   He claims that a pea he ate for dinner lost its way and ended up in the wrong place.

Do you believe that a sweet green pea would sprout in this situation? I don't, here's why.

A)  it was green, immature, and normally wouldn't develop even in the garden.

B)  it was cooked.

I think he was just pushing dried peas up his nose, but I'm a skeptic.  How about you?

p.s. that's not the end of it:  on my Yahoo page, where I first saw this, they suggested a related article: 'Benefits of eating seeds'.  Sure.

Yes, Chez, I saw this on the news at work this morning. That is something else, isn't it?
So how much time do ya think is left in this guy's fifteen minutes of fame?
Not a heck of a lot, but do you think Green Giant's stock is going to go down? Already, you guys don't eat your veg - now you'll use this for an excuse!
:-D
Potatoes are vegetables......and corn.
When I was very little the older kids always told me that if I swallowed a watermellon seed it would sprout in my stomach. I believed them. Never thought about the lungs.
Heard about a guy on his honeymoon came down with an earache....big time. Went to the local med center and low and behold...he had bird seed sprouting in his ear..no fooling!
Tell him to stay away from that cute bird now that he's married.
