Why I chose Altara

I love the movie Forbidden Planet! It's my all-time favorite SF movie. In the film, one of the main characters was named Altaira--after the planet, Altair 4. I couldn't get that name out of my head! So when I started writing, I decided to make that the name of the planet in my futuristic romance--but with my spelling: Altara. That was around 1970. Much later, when I discovered the internet, I decided that would be a good Username. I used that before I was confident enough to use my actual name. And once I started making comment graphics, I always used Altara on them; until a year or so ago, I always put "tag by Altara" on all the comment graphics I make. Then, I found that I could use an 'overlay' on them. As of now, I have several 'tags' that I use for that.

PS--Candelera is another name I use in my writing; I'm not sure if I invented it or not, though.
