Jules

She was kinda cute, and kinda young,
and no one knew she kept a pistol
in her purse. She only used it once.

So I wonder: Was she the Master
of her own Domain?
Upon this point we could now dispute . . .

I would see her often at the slams
come Friday nite, and often she would win,
way back in nineteen ninety-nine.

She would feign with innocence,
thinly veil a smile and flirt
with mystery . . .

When she got the news, she did not fight,
she simply took control. "Cancer" she was told,
was why she could not eat.

So I wonder: Was she the Master
of her own Domain?
Upon this point we could now dispute . . .

Would she have sought to overcome
had she not learned the Great Distrust
within Domain?

No one knew she kept a pistol
in her purse. Yet they said so
passing by.

She only used it once.

And she needed to use it once,
Thoughtful poem ZenDog..
There is alot of truth in there in that ones life is a gift, and yet it is also theirs to do with as they wish once it is given.
The "wrong or right" of taking ones own life is up to each individual person. Laws, mans or otherwise Religious laws may disagree but no human can stop it.
If a person has made up their mind to suffer no more, I do not believe it can be stopped.
When it is done, what are they going to do? Arrest them?
Ha Ha, the individual freedom wins in the ultimate end...
The rest is for the sole purpose of Religions answers to what they believe their bible says..
Good thought provoking poem...

Wow...Pretty deep. I think her decision would most likely have been different, but would her decision have been worth it if she would have stuck around? I am basing this on my own past fears which still linger in the deep recesses of my mind. I would ( now days) not have a problem if I felt I needed to make that choice, only the method would be different.

Would her decision have been any different had she not learned the Great Distrust?
