the cataract surgery is a wonder. you go in with bad vision and come out with vision BETTER than when you were a young person. mine went actually improved to 20/15. and do be careful of the restrictions so you don't end up with floaters from straining when you bend over or pick something up. wait to bend over till you know each other better
