I think the message was not so much about all people being geniuses, but more how we judge the way people perform and learn.

Comment by Apposite on May 3, 2011 at 6:56pm: I think that cheapens the meaning of genius, kind of like everybody gets a ribbon; or we are all "unique". In my mind a genius is almost a freak of nature but in an extremely rare and positive way - truly exceptional.
