TBD

TBD on Ning

I just spent the last half-hour or so watching old beachboy videos and getting all melancholy for the old days when I left home at 16 and went straight to california to be a surfer. I think they are the best all time band ever! So, who is your favorite?

Asleep at the Wheel. I can't not feel happy and want to dance when I hear their music. I'm not much of a country/western fan, but they're western/swing, which is a whole different kind on music.
I'm not a big C&W fan either DD, but someone gave me a Zac Brown Band CD and I've been enjoying it, it's fun.
I just checked them out on Youtube. They sound like good Friday Night music. :)
There are many, but the first images in my head were Paul Simon, Nat King Cole, and the Kinks.
Like others, there are many artists & bands that I like a lot, but my current fave is Amos Lee. mmm..... he rocks my world. Saw him here in concert a couple months ago & am going to catch him one more time on this tour, in Asheville next month.

I also really like The Band, Joss Stone, Anna Nalick, Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, Bob Marley, Natalie Merchant, Corinne Bailey Rae, Brett Dennen, Willie Nelson, the Dixie Chicks, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Jason Mraz, Sarah McLachlan, Brandi Carlile, Van Morrison, John Mayer, Sarah Bareilles, Colbie Callait, John Legend, Dave Matthews, KT Tunstall, Vienna Teng, Feist, Jack Johnson, Maroon 5, Al Green, Alicia Keys, Cat Stevens, Carole King, Neil Young (& CSN&Y), Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac (& their predecessor, Buckingham Nicks!), Grace Potter, Hil St. Soul, Lauryn Hill, Keb' Mo', Rachael Yamagata, Otis Redding, The Black Crowes.
I knew there was a reason I liked you Tay.....:-D
Oh, Jaylee!! xox!!!

And I forgot to mention Citizen Cope - his recording of "Sideways," accompanied by Carlos Santana....

O - M - G

I experienced a lovely activity to it recently. I highly recommend it. '-)

(oops, did I type that out loud? '-)
How could I forget Sam Cooke!
Wow, everyone like nearly every band! So how about we narrow it down a bit. What is your favorite ballad of all time? Or maybe to make it easier, your top 3 ballads.
Wow...three songs? Can't do it. That's harder than naming three bands.
Allman Brothers, The Band, Mountain....There's just so many, that I've really enjoyed.
THE WHO

They steal the show from The Rolling Stones withis performance of "A Quick One".....!!!!!
