I'm back! But see I'm the only one. Maybe I should start making random posts. Or, the "Start a rumor" section. Oh well, I'll check back in from time to time.

I have to figure out what to eat tonight - I think maybe just an artichoke, after thinking about those donuts. I had a big ham and cheese omelet and a salad for lunch.

An Artichoke? That is one of the things that I never developed a taste for. Others are parsnips, turnips and lima beans. I think I detect a trend. But, I love brussel sprouts, potatoes, carrots, ramps, broccoli, and cauliflower. So maybe not.

I like artichokes 'cause you can eat them with your fingers!

They are kind of messy, all right, but they do taste good. I cut them in half and clean out the fuzz before I cook them, so they're a little easier to deal with. If you like the taste and don't want the mess, just buy the little artichoke hearts in a jar or the bases, which are good frozen. Or don't, if you don't like them.

I love parsnips, too. Try them mashed with potatoes.

I had an AWESOME pizza for supper tonight, & am doing a little celebratory dance I'm so happy about the experience! I haven't had pizza in many months & this one was awesome! The place is well over an hour from my house, but I am definitely game to go back there!

Ramps are wild garlic, and they are very good - if you like garlic. I do. They grow in the woods around here.

Ahhh, pizza. I still miss Pagliacci's pizza, the best in Seattle. Haven't had anything that good since I left. I don't even try any more.

Good morning! Nice summer storms are rolling through here. Hopefully, it'll help cool things down.

Robbie, I have ramps all over the place here, but I use them when I make twice baked potatoes, or as a flavoring. Garlic chives basically, right?

Today in Pittsburgh we have the "Paddle at the Point". . (The Point is where three rivers meet in the city). I'm not going, mostly because they are trying to set a A Guinness World Record attempt for the largest canoe & kayak raft
The Point isn't all that big, and they are hoping to get 1,600 paddlers.
