am so in love with you
I just can't deny it
Everybody knows I can't deny it
Everybody knows
You can read me like a book
Just like a fortune teller
Everybody needs a fortune tller
Telling you the very truth
You bring me feelin'
You bring me fire
You give me love that's taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You bring out the best in me
With love and understanding
Anytime I need some understanding
You are always there
And if I ever lose my way
You're always there to guide me
Anyone can see you're here inside me
Anyone can see it
You bring me feelin'
You bring me fire
You give me love that's taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You fill me with hope
Love and devotion
You taught me how to show my emotion
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
This is our time, we have it all
We have a way of knowing if we're heading for a fall
We'll work it out and get it right
And when I get home to you
You're such a sight for my poor eyes
This is our time, we have it all
When I come home at night
You're such a sight for my poor eyes
You bring me feelin'
You bring me fire
You give me love that's taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You fill me with hope
Love and devotion
You taught me how to show my emotion
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
Loving patience, and unconditional encouragement. My mother was not only a good woman, she was an extraordinary woman.
Hear hear!
I have been thinking about this question, and one thing became clear. One has to really like other women, and care about them in general, and individually regardless of their station in life, in order to be a good woman. I've met many women who pretend to like their fellow women, but who don't, not really. I mean liking women as a group entity, obviously one is not going to have an affinity with every woman one meets! Women who are cruel to other women disquiet me, and their behaviour tells me that women in general make them feel insecure.
I think you're right on about this Di. For the most part, girls are raised to feel competitive in our culture and at some point, we need to heighten our awareness about women's issues to encourage acceptance of each other. There are more differences among us than one can point out but I think basically we either feel kinship or we feel cattiness. I've also met many women who are cruel to other females and I agree with you on that.
Good women are inclusive, not exclusive. They don't profess friendship, they are friendship. They don't exclude some over others, they listen to everyone evenly. They are givers, not takers.
