So what is your absolute favorite classic line from a movie - it could be anything from "Play it, Sam!" (Casablanca) to "Lock and Load!" (Alien) to "We may not enjoy living together, but dying together isn't going to solve anything." (Night of the Living Dead)

The French soldier--- “You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called "Arthur King," you and all your silly English K-nig-hts.”

And, I can't remember the entire scene, but everytime I hear the word coconut I laugh.
and how they discuss whether a European swallow could carry it. "It could have been an African swallow."
Okay...I'll be spending the rest of my day watching The Holy Grail and The Pink Panther...
Pink Panther movies. Any lines from that series but you have to say the lines using your best fake French accent.

"Minkee?
" Yes a Chimpanzee Minkee."

A lot of is the slapstick moments especially the Cato scenes.
My ssiters loved the "minkee" scenes!
Hello friends -

I have a baseball bias. Though only 25 years old, this movie was a classic when it debuted, in my biased opinion:

(Brimley) "You know, my mother told me I ought to be a farmer."

(Redford) "My dad wanted me to be a baseball player."

(Brimley) "Well, you're better than anyone I ever had ... and you're the best goddam hitter I ever saw. ... Suit up."

That's my line. And the rest, as they say ...

Such a great movie..
I could watch it a million times.

My favorite lines from baseball movies:

Kevin Costner (to Tim Robbins) "I want you to throw that baseball at me as hard as you can."

Tim Robbins replies: "It'll kill you."

Costner: "Yeah? From what I hear, you couldn't hit water if you fell out of a f****n' boat."

- from "Bull Durham"

And from "Cobb": A fellow teammate of Satchell Paige, describing his fast ball: "That boy could throw a pork chop past a wolf."

From Sunset Boulevard, "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille!"

That's a great line! Another great one (two) is
Joe Gillis: You're Norma Desmond. You used to be in silent pictures. You used to be big.
Norma Desmond: I *am* big. It's the *pictures* that got small.
Yes, and Norma's comment about the transition to talkies: "We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!"
From" The African Queen":

Charlie: We can't do that!
Rose: How do you know? You never tried it.
Charlie: Well, yeah, but I never tried shooting myself in the head neither.

Yes. Well. Thankfully he listened to her.
