We see today that 2 "Democrats" have jumped ship and left the Senate in the lurch. North Dakota is no big surprise. THE surprise is that ANYONE from either Dakota calling himself a Democrat actually won ANY office. Dodd, since his Presidential aspirations wilted, has been in hot water at home. I hope the Party can rally enough support to maintain their edge, but then, they've been such spineless shit heads I'm not sure it matters. What's the use of having that power if you're too flipping afraid to USE it???

Leaving on a high note isn't bad advice for anyone. I'm sure George W. Bush wished he had done that, but having to not run for re-election frees them to cast whatever votes they feel they need to cast and to move issues forward without having to cuddle people with the intelligence of furniture.

Making any change is hard. That's why so few people try to do it. But the real reason the right is so bent out of shape is not because president Obama (that must be who Cynthia is talking about since only right-wing conservatives use that kind of language) has feet of clay. Rather, it is because he and his administration have legs.

I agree with you Madhatterat60, use it or lose it. Republicans used their slimmer majority right from the get go. They had made democrats irrelavant in the both chambers for over 4 year between 2002-06'. What do you get from Dems? Just talk and plan, we saw Lieberman speaking in double toungs, others asked ransoms for their votes. Obama wants to appease every one. Big companies $ did a good job. Money Talks, the have spent enormous Money, they created followers from idiots, by spreading lies- Obama is muslim; Pelosi is working hard to destroy the country; Sen Reid is evil; Death Panel; some times overtly using racial remarks; and so on. Some poor bigots love it, they are fighting against their own interests. The second half of Obama presidency worse than the first half. The Dems are losing big opportunities to make the majority of American life better. If I were outsider, I would wish Palin to win. So that these robotic herds followers see what is wrong with electing such unprepared and unstable likes, when the tasks of governing such a single power country. But thats not the case, because It is my beloved country and when USA has political social and economic problems, the whole world suffer. God forbid.

Example the Us has been attacked 3 times. In the last 6 months not counting our CIA. Using the CIA to gather info on golbal warming. The closed doors on the health care bill.
People are waking up and seeing Obama as a wonderful speach maker and a socialist at heart.

Ya its been on CNN and I know you hate it but Fox had a former CIA and a congressmen talking about it today.
After the towers where hit and Bush went after the terriost they did not attack us in our country. So far under Obama LR Arkansas. Ft Hood TX* and the underpant terriost* I believe this has happened because we are seen as weak.
I am hoping that maybe Obama has waken up a little bit after this last attack that Thank God failed.
