TBD on Ning

Yes folks, here is a picture of my 1st edition of Barbie's Easy - As -Pie Cookbook (c) 1964 ! When I found it amongst my late father's things, I broke down and wept.

And I'm going to post a recipe from it too! "Barbie's Birthday Punch" or perhaps "Easy Tuna Boats" ! (You think I'm kidding right? NOT! ) LOL (Click Me)
Rightio! Recipes and wine parings (and wine brand suggestions) and entertaining tips and spices and good nutrition advice and favourite cocktail recipes and all things pertaining to luscious flavours and - dare I say - foods that seduce! There are also some wonderful food blogs, and wine & recipe web sites, so feel free to include links, videos, & visuals!

Hehehehehe I thought I'd - sneak it in - quiet like. Trust YOU to be the 1st to notice! It's GREAT isn't it !!! :-D

This is a marvelous site. Visually stunning, with links to the sites by clicking on each mouth watering recipe card. http://www.tastespotting.com/
ABOUT:
"Tastespotting": " Founded on the idea that we eat first with our eyes, TasteSpotting is our obsessive, compulsive collection of eye-catching images that link to something deliciously interesting on the other side. Think of TasteSpotting as a highly visual potluck of recipes, references, experiences, stories, articles, products, and anything else that inspires exquisite taste.

We don’t use the term “potluck” for the hell of it. Everyone brings something to the party here: the user community submits images/links from around the web and the editorial team reviews the submissions. What finally gets served up on the site is a beautifully refined set of the community’s contributions.

The site was launched in January 2007 and is run by Sarah of The Delicious Life and a small group who just likes to be called "The Team."
Enjoy!
indeed! you sent me this on delicious a while back and it is awesome! everybody have a look, it is worth your time. i'm going back over there now. i may get lost in all those beautiful images and the recipes that lurk beneath. ;>)
i expect some easy tuna boats next time i come calling!

Just as soon as Skipper cleans up the sugar she spilled everywhere !!! So cleverly illustrated . Oh my - you MUST have a look through this when you are next over. It's fall about funny! I was all of 11 when I was given this, it was shipped to me from stateside, I was in the Orient. I remember I was thrilled! I really did learn how to cook using it. I had thought it gone forever, had not seen it in more than 40 years.
naughty skipper. i bet she got a beating for that... see how she's looking up in fear?
Barbie made her list all the things to do before starting to cook! One must first pull back one's hair and wash one's hands and put on an apron!
hey hey hey lady! when are you going to post one of these barbie recipes?!? ;>)
i have never tired gazpacho. did you find a particular recipe you liked better than the others?
This is baking, right? You need special pans or "cookie sheets" for this, right?
I'll trust you that they're good :-D

I just finished dinner...cut thick slices of tomato, salt and pepper to taste. Mix together equal parts breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Add oregano to taste. heap on top of tomato slices. Broil until cheese melts/breadcrumbs are toasted. YUM! I like simple foods during the summer.
