Local online group

Do you have a local online group that keeps track of all the local doings.  Good things, bad things, minding everyone's business.  We have one where the group owner posts the arrests, police pursuits, etc.  Now tonight he puts that community folks shouldn't be going to the site of the incident.  What are your thoughts?

We have a local news group on Facebook that my wife subscribes to. I discontinued my enrollment for lack of interest in their incessant notificaions. Besides, Josi passes all their news on to me anyway. It only makes sense not to rush to the scene of an incident.

I think we might have that, it's called Nextdoor. I've never visited the site since I had heard bad things about it.

I don't know of a local site but I do get local news using the Smart News app which has reports from many different sources in several categories. Customization based on where you live is available. When I click on my town there's news about here and surrounding areas. Also there's a couple of groups on Facebook specifically for residents or former residents of my city.
