Do you have any traditions for new years eve?

Not any more.  I do eat black eyed peas for New Years Day and a leafy green vegetable for luck.  The meat is usually pork.

Same with us about New Years day: we always have ham and black eyed peas, heard it was good luck. We usually watch movies at home on New Years eve, not sure about this year.

Always stay in on New Year's Eve. We usually have some type of champagne and have the fireplace going. And on New Year's day I always make some "good luck" food. I think we'll all need a bit of good luck entering 2021.

Not really. I used to stay up late so I could go out at midnight on my porch and throw my money into the house. It was suppose to mean you will have money come in all year. Now I usually go to bed before then. Anymore I just fix food that's suppose to bring good luck.

Be asleep by 10 PM and hope that fireworks doesn't wake me up. Pork and sauerkraut for dinner New Years day for good luck. I think I'll make lobster mac and cheese for New Years Eve.

I like to have steamed shrimp with Old Bay a Maryland tradition and BBQ wings.  New Years day we have a nice dinner, nothing the same each year.  This year BBQ ribs and my last day of eating anything with sugar.  Back to sugar free diet.  Get more weight off.

When I was younger it was a party somewhere until the wee hours,  now we do champagne and whatever food we're wanting at home. New Year's day, its cabbage or greens, crispy fried pork jowl, black-eyed peas, and whatever meat we want. New Years' morning we like breakfast quiche.

For years now, Josi and I have stayed in alone on New Years Eve. Besides being safer, we really have very few local friends and family members left here that we are inclined to party with. This makes it the most melancholy holiday of the year and as so, is the one I most want to get past. We do have some traditional foods; pork  sauerkraut, etc., and watch the TV specials. Neither of us feel it worth while to binge drink anymore.

By the way, if you thought 2020 was bad, wait until it turns 21 and starts drinking!

"By the way, if you thought 2020 was bad, wait until it turns 21 and starts drinking!" Boy, isn't that the truth, good one, PTB! :D
