I like Romance Novels.  Is that a genre?

Non-fiction: sociology, poli. science, anthropology, current affairs, feminism.

Fiction: science fiction, some mysteries, some "chick lit" (especially Catherine Ryan Hyde, wow is her stuff good).

Historical romance.

Political intrigue, historical, autobiographies, and murder mysteries. I was a big Tom Clancy fan. Now I read Brad Thor and Lee Child.
Oh, and if anyone wants to take a vacation from the drama all around us, I strong recommend Mike Rowe's mom's books: About My Mother & About Your Father. She has a charming, homespun way of telling a story that will keep you chuckling. Her name is Peggy Rowe, and if you were ever an Erma Bombeck fan, you will love Peggy.

Science and science fiction/fantasy (more non-fiction than fiction) Philosophy - mostly philosophy of religion, especially Buddhism. Most recently finished Zen for Christians by Kim Boykin. Occasionally I stray out my lane and read something unexpected therefore I can affirm officerripleleys recommendation of Catherine Ryan Hyde.

Mysteries primarily, History, Autobiographies. I like westerns, too, but good ones are hard to find.

Mostly I read mysteries, but I read non-fiction from time to time.
