There was a scene in Gandhi where a group of people was being killed. I think they were being shot. I left my seat in tears and had to go out and get myself together before returning to the movie theater.

Ooh, that reminds me of another scene from Gandhi where he tells a guy who thinks he's going to Hell (the other guy, not Gandhi) and Gandhi tells him he knows a way out of Hell:
