Probably several. I am always taking a stray and finding them a home. Some are in pretty bad shape.

Yes, we have had rescue dogs, cats and one time I had to untie a squirrels tail from our bird feeder. It was smart enough to realize I was there to help and let me but it flew off the feeder the moment it was free.
