That's true, I suppose. I think of shy people as diamonds in the rough in some ways--there's something fascinating, brilliant, and multi-faceted inside that the world at large overlooks.

You have had to pick a lock to get into (or out of) someplace.

Not in any skilled way. Once, I misplaced the key to my diary and had to use a hairpin

You can find many different uses for hairpins and other common household objects

If forced to by necessity. Haha!

You like to keep the necessities of life well-stocked.

Yes.

You frequently leave something off your shopping list that you need. (I do that).

Yup. I think many people do.

You grocery shop every two weeks.

More often ( because I keep forgetting something)

You are always well stocked

Yes, if possible. A side effect of growing up with parents who'd be 106 this year. They lived through so much deprivation and disaster.

You know and love many of the songs of your parents' generation.

Yes. Mom had the radio on in the kitchen, singing along with the Top 40. She had a lovely voice, too.

Your mom used to sing around the house at times. Your dad too.

Yes. My mother had a pretty alto voice. My dad couldn't really carry a tune, but he was lively and funny when he sang and usually danced along. He was an excellent dancer!

Your dad was a good dancer, too.

According to my mother he was. He died so young.

Many of the places you enjoyed dining or dancing in years ago have been removed from the scene and replaced with something less admirable.

(I'm so very sorry that your dad died young.)

Yes.

There was a small old-school amusement park near somewhere you'd lived which has long since closed.

No, not that. Places like mom & pop candy stores and places we used to go to hear music and drink beer.

You had a store within walking distance where they sold penny candy behind a glass case
