TBD

TBD on Ning

Picked up at library Louise Penny’s latest A BETTER MAN Thurs, read it and returned it Sat. Am sorry to say I didn’t enjoy it as much as her other books. Perhaps because there wasn’t as much exposure to Three Pines as usual.

Last night started Philippa Gregory’s just published TIDELANDS.  Grabbed me from the get-go!!!!It’s a historical fiction novel, circa 1648.  Story takes place in England where they are in the grip of a civil war between renegade king and rebellious parliament. England, 1648, is a dangerous time for a woman to be different. Meet Alinor who unknowingly leads disaster into the heart of her life!

Remember when Elizabeth Strout, author of OLIVE KITTERIDGE  won the Pulitzer Prize?  Her latest novel has recently been released.  It’s OLIVE, AGAIN.  Another book that’s hard to put down!  Give it a look//see!

HAPPY NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!

I have This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger on request at the library.  Can't wait to get it.  There are over 1300 5-star rave reviews on Goodreads. Haven't read Olive... I'll give it a try... thanx rapa.  :)

Carci, I picked up THIS TENDER LAND yesterday and read 207 pages last night to take advantage of an extra hour!  Blew out the candle at 3:00am!  This story is terrific!!!

I also thoroughly enjoyed OLIVE, AGAIN.

Next up is THE TOPEKA SCHOOL by Ben Lerner.

The new Baldacchi is being released 11/19 and I’m early on the reserve list.  My cup runneth over!!!!!!!

Speaking of Baldacci, I am reading his One Good Deed. It is a bit different, but very good. Of course, it is one on his "standalones" and when you think about it, they all are "a bit different."
