Haha! I would have answered "True!!" but then that's how life has been going for some years for me. (FYI, Suzanna, when you answer a question, you then have to leave a new question. I doesn't have to be related to the previous question or answer, but it can be. ツ

You'd rather climb a mountain and camp on it than go to a posh hotel.

Hmmm. Is there a third choice. Too old for the climb, too simple for the posh. How about a motel room with a view?

You'd rather have a mountain view than a beach view.

That'll work. :)

Also a tough choice, depending on the views. I guess now I'd say "mountain" because I've lived at the beach for so long. I love them both. What I don't want to see is miiiiiiiles of flatness with nothing scenic punctuating it--like Kansas. LOL.

You used to like to run like the wind down the beach--or even leap ツ--before anyone else got up.

That is such a true memory - no more, alas.

You still find picture patterns in the clouds.

Yes, when I see clouds.

You know, I wish I could have one more get together with my family of friends from the 60s and 70s--I wish we could just be us and feel young and happy together and laugh and talk all night. Do you have that wish sometimes?

Yes

You have lost track of many old friends and missed many reunions

True to both. Many of my old friends have kicked the bucket. And I've never been to a reunion.

You used to go to a LOT of concerts--free outdoor concerts and otherwise.

Yes,  and stage plays too,  but they don't seem to have them any more.

They have Shakespeare in the park in the summer where you live.

In DC they do, but not where I am now. Or, at least, not the last time I was out and about.

You simply adore Shakespeare and never had difficulty understanding the dialogue.

Pretty much true

When you read the bible, it's never anything but the King James

Yup. Church of England here. (Well, I do look at other version's interpretations sometimes. Mostly for a giggle.)

You are thankful right now for being safe from the fires and for all others who have found safety and shelter.

(I wanted to ask how things are going. Is the air quality any better? Did you have the rain that was predicted? I know you're about 90 miles from Chico where most of the people from Paradise seem to be heading. Are you also getting an influx of "refugees" from Paradise and other places hit hard?

I have a great fear of fires out of control--I can only imagine how scary it's been.

Happy Thanksgiving, btw.)

Yes, to all. The wind has shifted,  so air is better, and w got the rain yesterday. 85% contained now. Most of the refugees are in shelters up there or camped out in a Wal-Mart parking lot! Wal- Mart is being nice. I hope they feed the people Thanksgiving dinner too.

Same to you,  my friend.
