Right after my mom died, I ordered a bunch of new cool furniture, then got too sick to do the do-over. ツConsequently, I have a lot of lovely furniture moldering in the basement. 

You're contemplating a do-over. If so, to what?

Not really, just got some new slipcovers to cover some ratty old  bonded "leather."

You'd really like to  touch up the trim around the outside, if you could find somebody to do it.

Amen! The whole house needs painting, if I could afford it. Also, craftsmen do a sh*tty job here and I can't find anyone to do a good job of anything! I painted the house myself (with a friend) the last time, but that was 15 years ago and salt air really eats paint up. 

Your favorite design style is "eclectic."

Hmmmmm. I tend to like a neutral on the wall (not usually beige) and bright pops of color as accessories. Some subtle blues on the walls would definitely work, but bright blues--not so much. Orange and/or yellows in the kitchen would work.

You like going to "estate sales" or a really big yard sale.

At one time you enjoyed auctions, especially the outdoor ones in fine weather

I've only been to a couple, and I find that it's not a good venue for me. It makes me temporarily anxious/sad if I can't bid on something I would really like and I have to watch it slip away. 

You enjoy art league-type art sales, especially outdoors, with a variety of fine arts and crafts (as a potter, etc.--I believe it's all art).

I had to look up the term "crystal skull pottery," and from what I've seen--yup! I love organic shapes, whatever they are, especially if they're utilitarian as well as decorative. And, yes, I love big, round terra cotta urns--the ones which are glazed inside so that they can be used.  

You have a few favorite crafts. If so, what are they?

I'm not so handy myself, any more. Used to knit and crochet on a grand scale. But love other's crafts. Love paintings of the ocean, and yes, big, round urns.

You are wondering what accounts for the sudden influx of new member on this site, lately. It's not really half-dead anymore.

Wondering, yup. Also conjecturing that other social sites are shutting down, and that people are getting disgruntled with Facebook.
