Yes. Always used to give them to friends or donate them to a hospital, etc.  Except for treasured books, of course.

ha! tried out for cheering, so sore after try-outs, could hardly walk

true & madrigals  But no lovely soprano here--I was a contralto, and even a tenor in a pinch.

Your high school was heavily academic and had no specialty art classes like pottery or sculpture, but you wish it had.

that's true. There was an art class, taught watercolor and sketching

you had to wear ugly bloomers for gym in a dull color

I never wore bloomers. I moved from coast-to-coast and wore MANY different uniforms, but they were all "onesies." In Coronado, we wore WHITE of all colors for pubescent girls. 

Your favorite sport in high school was field hockey.

I guess that was my least hated sport. I didn't care for  gym

they made you take a shower and your hair was always wet for the next class
