Generally, yes. I love to swim and swam competitively most of my life. For me, natural water is better for fun; pools are better for laps (of course--nothing is better for improving endurance than ocean swimming).

You prefer cross-country skiing to downhill.

don't ski myself, but like watching the cross-country competitions better

watching pro snowboarding is awesome

I agree! I like to snowboard--it's similar to surfing, which I LOVE.

You have flown a glider, or would like to.

sorry, no.

you are fearless when it comes to sports and physical activities

True

You are fearless when giving a lecture/presentation. (I'll tell you right now, I was a pile of quivering goo no matter how many times I did it.)

I plead guilty to a state if quivering goo-dom

you made your own toys and games and often preferred yours to the official kind

True. We weren't allowed "official" games except Scrabble. Didn't have many toys (I HATED dolls). Ay games were all exploring outdoors oriented, or stuff like hopscotch and dodge ball.

You liked playing alone or with the family pet better than playing dolls or house with the girls.

yeah. I was mostly a loner. Went on nature walks in the woods, discovering stuff and picking berries

you remember when wild blueberries and raspberries and the like were plentiful

Absolutely! What fun it was to pick and eat them--sometimes we'd even leave enough to make jam! Haha!

You have picked and eaten wild mushrooms.

I have not. Too scared

you have really studied, and you know your mushrooms

Years ago that was true. Now I'd probably poison myself right out of the gate. :>)

You would prefer to be totally self-sufficient.

so true.(I do enjoy company, though)

you prefer balanced days of "lonerism "alternating with coveys of companions
