Go ahead...tell us what you're having for dinner - we can't wait! Got a cute pic of kitty peeking out of a paper bag? Post it! We live for that stuff!

Math addict? How about a refresher on the Pythagorean Theorem?

Like macaroni and cheese? Tell us why!

So even if you're not a writer or a poet (yet), there's still plenty of fun things to do at the Armadillo!

Oh baby, oh baby!

Nope, saw video of him saying it.

Ok...so the rebuilding effort in Texas will take place immediately – as soon as they can find enough skilled construction workers – many of whom have gone back to Mexico in fear of being deported.

It could be that the people you are trying to wall out are the ones that can help us the most.

Great leadership!

hear, hear!

After just a few weeks, a rift is developing between McRonald and Kelly.

The is a result of attempts to direct the clown in specific ways - for his own benefit.

Kelly was alleged to have said that he has never been spoken to like that in the decades of his service to the US - and will not tolerate it again.

Forceful Chief of Staff Grates on Trump, and the Feeling Is Mutual

By GLENN THRUSH and MAGGIE HABERMAN - The New York Times - Friday, September 1, 2017

Now I'm really worried - McRonald is siding with the Democrats against the GOP.

What could it possibly mean? He's sticking  it to Paul and Mitch because they let him down? But maybe he'll let them join the scared circle later on, when they prove themselves.,

Thinking....

Thinking...

It has been well documented that McRonald frequently  pits his employees against each other, both in his business world and also in the early days of his administration.

Of course, members of the Senate and House are not his employees, and have discovered that he is a paper tiger who growls a lot but commands little respect, and even less fear.

This current ploy is nothing more than that – trying to somehow shame Republicans into doing his bidding and supporting his policies by cozying up to the Democrats.

As he apparently has little regard for his own political integrity, he knows (as we do ) that at any time he can change his mind, change his story, direct blame and will probably do so as it becomes convenient.

It’s a laughable and even pathetic strategy, but one that is necessary now as he becomes desperate to advance some sort of major legislation.

His approval ratings continue to dive, and more importantly (to him), the attention paid to him by the press is dwindling lately as he is being upstaged by two hurricanes.

As he did with Harvey, he made some major announcements just prior to Harvey’s landfall – a pitiful “Hey! Look at me!” attempt as our attention was riveted on Texas.

This is the same behavior exhibited by Kim Jong Un towards China recently. While China continues to woo the world and enhance its position as an emerging leader, Kim soils it with more carefully timed nuclear threats, launches, and tests.

In the summer of 2016, as it became apparent that McRonald was going to have an impact on the election, I predicted that if elected, ultimately he would find himself a lame duck long before the next election – essentially shunned by both parties.

I believe this is the beginning of that process.

In less than 48 hours, Hurricane Irma is predicted to make landfall in Florida – and while governors and mayors publicly order and plead with residents to evacuate to safety, at the time of this writing, I have been unable to locate any such sentiments issued by McRonald.

As the old saying goes, “Lead, follow, or get out of the way, Mr. Precedent.”

agree with all of it

I have a friend who lives in Mexico, and we chat a lot on the internet, almost daily.

I have frequently mentioned how much I would like to maybe move there…and she feels the same way about coming to the US – but only after McRonald is gone. (If there’s anything left, as she puts it)

As we have learned, the most recent earthquake caused considerable damage and loss of life. While they felt the tremor where she is located, there was no damage or disruption in her part of the country.

In the immediate aftermath, my friend’s community – as well as many others across Mexico sprang into action and began gathering donations of food, supplies and money to be sent to the hardest hit areas.

At this point, I must tell you that my friend is a highly educated, professional person with very strong ties to her community.

As a result, she and her associates became a central point for the gathering of relief supplies. For several days, they catalogued and accumulated large amounts of needed items for the survivors and the word spread across the area.

Today, she received a phone call – it was from the local or state government, not sure which, and was asked to include the Governor’s name as part of the delivery of the supplies.

When she declined, she was told point blank in that case, they could not deliver the supplies.

!!

I do not know how this has played out since then – it has been a few hours, but will post again when I hear.

(shakes head)

shaking my head as well.  Bureaucracy is rampant.  This friend isn't, by any chance, MartiInMexico, is it?  Remember her?  She was here for a long while and on the big chatsite lots of us moved in from.  I can't remember where she lived and think of her often.
