What's the coolest thing within walking distance from your house?

depends upon how far you could walk.  Probably my son's place because when he's outside working or cooking or carpentering or blasting that radio, everyone shows up.  If you can walk a "fer piece", then it's still that used-book store down the road.

Yes, depends on that walking distance.  In 2004 I walked over 2200 miles in a four month period. Now from my house, it would be the wildlife, bears, turkeys, pheasants, lots of species of smaller birds, the corn is about 12 feet tall.

Well, I live a block from our local High School. I went there waaaay back when :) I has many trees on the grounds, so beautiful.   But not all that far is Tom's Ice Cream Bowl, a fifties style place, from the actual '50's :)  Then, in the other direction, a pizzeria call Adornetto's. 

Corn and wildlife eh Shadowman?  That does sound cool. I like CaliforniaNow's used book store too!
