I am also in the middle of a Robert Dugoni. "Her Final Breath" is placed in Seattle and has a female police detective chasing down a serial killer. A real thriller that was free this month to Amazon Prime members.
I look in everyday, but haven't rad any good books lately. We too have been having such good weather in the 70's for Colo- in March unheard of. so hard tasty inside and read. Our book club is reading Whiter than Snow- by Sandra Dallas. I read it so long ago, will have to go back and do a quick review. The other book club is reading A tree Grows in Brooklyn for our classic this year.
I just read the review on THE MAGIC STRINGS OF FRANKIE PRESTO - these were all from Audio listeners -- all good reviews. Some said that it was better to listen than read, so I will look forward to listening to it. The only other book I read by Mitch Albom was TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. I loved that book so much that I once found it in a sale bucket at a store and bought 5 copies and gave them to everyone. Thanks for the recommendation.
I've been off for a week-long cruise to the Western Caribbean. With temps in the 80s, I enjoyed JA Jance's "Cold Betrayal" with the story line in winter in northern Minnesota and snowy northern Arizona. I also read the classic Ira Levin, "A Kiss before Dying." Fortunately nobody died on the trip but from all the college kids there, I expect a lot of kissing went on and perhaps a bit more. My Kindle Fire was ideal for cruise ship reading. Incidentally, just as I found last year, this cruise ship (Norwegian) no longer maintained a library system, only a self-service exchange. It looks like cruise ship libraries are a thing of the past, so bring your own if you want to read.
