What movie made you cry?

Wow its been so long ago i dont remember, becuz i refuse to watch/read any fiction anymore that makes me cry; no point since if i wanna cry all i have to do is think about the past.

lately, everything has made me cry.  I did watch the Notebook for the 20 th time with my visiting step-daughter and I did get sad AGAIN.  Before that it was Love and Mercy the Brian Wilson story.

All of them. Some like The Last Picture Show, etc. because they are so sad, some like Pi because they are so crappy, any attempting to adapt Franz Kafka novels or short stories, any that take great literature like The Lord of the Rings trilogy and reduce it to a few hours of mediocre reduction to a child's level, and, and, what am I missing here? Oh, yea, Romance, how can anyone watch that drivel and not cry??

Again I mostly agree; I couldn't stand Life of Pi either (& people go nuts when I tell 'em, I'm the only person I know face2face that didn't luv it) and I don't like Romance either becuz I'm not a fan of fantasy except for LOTR. I do respectfully disagree with you about the LOTR movies; I liked them a little better than the books becuz I felt like the movies were a little bit less racist, sexist & classist. I must admit, tho, that I think the battle scenes were cooler in the books than the movies (CGI be damned sometimes).

I admit the three LOTR movies of the 1990s were better than the 1979 animated attempt.
