What's your favorite thing about summer?

I love the flowering trees here....the Magnolias are blooming, and the Crepe Myrtles are beginning to flower. I like my garden on my deck. I like boat rides on the Potomac. Barbecues with ribs and corn. Playing on the beach with my great grandkids. The LaPorte County Fair. I could go on.

At first I was gonna say my fave thing is barbequing but we do that almost all year anyway.  So I agree with Lj.

I love the intense heat.

I like the lush greenery and flowers. I love that it stays daylight clear up to almost 10 PM sometimes. I like a gentle summer rain and going barefoot. I like homegrown tomatoes and corn on the cob. Summer Nights especially are nice.

It kicks my butt, but I enjoy getting in the yard and planting/transplanting/pruning/ etc. Heck, I really don't even mind cutting the grass.

Sunshine, fresh air, moderate temperatures, flip-flops, cut-offs, all-offs.  Yaaayyy!  It's summer!
