Happiness, goals, dreams... A part of me died following the death of my spouse/best friend 9 years ago. Used to enjoy music, creativity, laughter, attending public events. Seems I have become a recluse. Work, home, repeat. Relocated to be closer to family. I know I can't' base my happiness on others and that I must find it within. I've tried counseling, antidepressants, but am left feeling like I am only existing without any true sense of value or purpose. Coming up on the anniversary of John's death, have accepted the loss but still feel so empty.

Fun.

Since retiring I have volunteered as Mentor, Teacher, Salvation Army, AARP, and ARES. None were much fun. The jobs were OK but the people sucked.

Last year I re-volunteered to help out the Boy Scouts. This fun! ...having a blast.

how about a location where you don't need heat or cooling????? maybe just a sweater or blanket. I am sooooo serious about this. but no hurricanes either, if you please.
