So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.
On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.
Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share. My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world. His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)" etc.
Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.
So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

Waiting. One of the things I'm waiting for is the colorful lunar eclipse on the 15th. It's going to be spectacular. We're going to drive out where it's dark to watch it. Here's a slide show with commentary about the event:

It's been one of those days and I haven't even talked to my husband yet. Maybe he will want to hide under the bed with me when he gets home. I have cashews and I will share them with him.
Hello all. I've run into a bit of a snag, but it should all be okay soon. Having problems sitting in the chair.

Come and enjoy the family-friendly ambience – Gemütlichkeit – of this unique music/street festival with four stages of live music and an open air market along with antique shops in the old town area.
Tap your feet to the music of Chardon Polka Band, Chris Rybak, Yodel Blitz, Das Ist Lustig, Tubameisters, Valina, and get into the festive spirit with the sounds of strolling Christmas carolers. It’s a Texas German celebration at Christmas time on the old downtown streets of Tomball Texas.
An estimated 175 unique and interesting street vendors will line Market and S. Walnut Streets, selling German Christmas items, arts and crafts, and much more. Visit the “Weihnachtshaus” inside the Community Center at 221 Market Street at the corner of Cherry Street which will be filled with German clothes and souvenirs for sell.
Food vendors will include traditional German food and drink, Glühwein (mulled wine), beer, Christmas Stollen & Homemade Breads, Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and pastry), Bratwurst, red cabbage, sauerkraut, apple strudel, etc., and will, also, include festival foods like funnel cake, corn dogs, hot dogs, hamburgers, kettle korn, and barbeque.
Having lunch on Monday with Governor Rick Perry.
I think I have a good case of PCCI. Post Chemotherapy Cognitive Impairment. I've had memory problems since the chemo 10 years ago. (or is it 11?) Anyway, I knew that I had some serious memory lapses. Things that had happened to me that I have no memory of. Most people that have chemo get what is called chemo brain. They get forgetful, misunderstand questions, etc. Most people get over it in less than 6 months, but for some, it becomes permanent. And the round of chemo this time seemed to just make things a little worse than they were.
Example. About 5 or 6 years ago we were driving, and Dee said, That is the intersection where you and Emmet got in that accident. She said we were car pooling to work, and got in a minor fender bender. (and no, I didn't hit my head) It makes perfect sense that I would ride with this guy to work as it was a 20 mile commute, and we lived less than a mile apart. But I have no memory of ever being in a car with this guy let alone commuting and getting in an accident.
Example, I used to be an excellent speller, now I rely on the computer to make sure That what I type isn't gibberish.
Example, I sometimes forget how to make a dish that I have been cooking for years. I could go on, but think you get the idea.
Now what was I talking about? ;-)
Millions of Monarch Butterflies have invaded my farm this week. They must think I am a weed, they keep flying into my face.
