TBD

TBD on Ning

Looks like March has arrived in most of the country like a "Lion".  Will be 83 and sunny here in Texas today with a 50 degree drop in temp tomorrow.  I have five potentially good books stacked and ready to hunker down if the predicted sleet arrives late tomorrow.

Am currently reading Quindlen's STILL LIFE WITH BREAD CRUMBS. So far, so good.  Nice respite from the thrillers!

Happy March reading to all!!!!

Thanks.  I get frustrated when I read a book and the author constantly refers back to action that took place in a prior novel.  I feel I am missing something in the character development.  This web site will be helpful as I bookmarked it for future use.  I enjoy reading a book in a series, but it is best taken in sequence, such as the alphabet series by Grafton, as the same characters keep popping up in each novel.

The last day of March and I finished Sycamore Row. Grisham does weave a fine tale doesn’t he. As well as his ability to tell a great story, no one pits lawyer against lawyer better and in such amusing ways as he does.  Of course, having been one, himself, gives him the background to do so.

I also started to re-read Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, which was reissued with some reflections on the book by Neil DeGrasse Tyson and a new Forward by Ann Druyan, who co-produced the TV series of the same name and who was his wife.  For me, no one tells the story of our place in the universe better than Sagan did.  I also loved and admired him as a human being.  We lost him much too early in his life.

I agree.

DITTO!!!!!!

I finished The Plum Tree and will post under April Reads
