Ah, that was her plan in 1994, deja vu all over again...???

The problem is the problem with health care, delivery and payment as much as it is ObamaCare or the more preferred term, Affordable Care Act...

The ACA was a cobbled together, mash up that is like treating the symptom not the disease, expanding coverage and broaden benefits is always laudable, which is what sold the ACA, not the details or the implementation much less the results.  The ACA has always been based on assumptions about how and who is to be helped, and not how and the why of how it is to be carried out, which is a main cause of the flaw in what was done, it was too ambitious and not well supported by those that had to carry out the Act as to rules, regulation and action(s), worse there was no Plan B.

But be that as it may, it is what it is and what we have, for now.

Actually, that was Hillary's plan when she was co-president.  In fact, Bill held up an ID card that would be what people got in HillaryCare.   But, it couldn't pass, which makes ObamaCare the exception; it did pass, it was signed and approved as a tax.

What we are currently suffering  is poor, if not incompetent implementation, over all a bungle and mess that, clouds the entire point of what the Affordable Care Act was attempting, change, using something like market behavior to stabilize, if not rationalize (emphasis on ration) health care financing.

The problem is, the problem is complicated and isn't solved by a single solution, law or act of consumer behavior.

AND there is a segment that wants the plan to fail, no matter the cost to the country and it's citizens...and there are people that are dim enough that they don't get that 'the medical care industry' is a complicated mess that was getting worse by the year and exorbitantly expensive and more so by the year. those dim people can be led around by others who shout slogans and try to lead the parade for their own ends, and amazingly there are behind the scenes forces which liked things just the way they were, thank you very much, and were busily shelling out millions and possibly billions of dollars to kill or cripple obamacare by any means necessary

...People have to explain things to you a LOT, don't they, base ?

Nope Snagg. I have a good idea of what's going on. Like this group being the protect and serve the president group. Like the party they walk in lock step despite the reality of what's going on. Which one are you Snagg? The one on the left or the right? I guess the man in the right seat is you isn't it Snagg? Good lookin dude Snagg

"Like this group being the protect and serve the president group. Like the party they walk in lock step despite the reality of what's going on."

pretty cocky attitude...so tell us exactly what's going on..the actual facts, events and the proofs by articles and links ...and checkout stand stuff like any of murdoch's organs don't count.

if you've noticed, we all pretty much know what's going on but you tell us your version of reality...and does it include the 168 filibusters of presidential nominees in the history of the U.S.; 82 have occurred under President Obama - 48%.

That demonstrates the extent of obstructionism this administration has had to deal with...It's literally historical in its magnitude...I can see having concerns about some people filling certain positions, but this level of objection is simply ridiculous and it hurts the country because well qualified people are sitting on the sidelines while important positions, working for the people, are left vacant. that's why the 'nuclear option' was voted thru

it's pretty hard to get anything done when larry, mo and curly are the other side of the aisle and rowing for all they're worth to prevent progress

You have NO idea what's going on, base. The extent to which you have to lie and distort facts, in order to disparage "that dirty secret-muslim commie non-caucasian" in YOUR white house, and the depth with which you believe the lies that your network of creeps spreads about him, about your fellow champion-of-low-IQ Dubya, and about "unamerican liberals" like me, says much, much more about your ignorance and general assholishness than anything that I can come up with, and I'm a fairly erudite guy.

You're not just mean and ignorant, base - You're PROUD of it, like it's something that took time and effort on your part, something you strove to accomplish. And you expect your brainless posts to be treated with reverence and respect.

When Obama screws up, we admit it, and it shames us. Your sleazy idol Dubya got THOUSANDS of American troops (whom you claim to worship) killed for no reason other than his own pride and for Dick Cheney's bank account, let alone driving the US economy into the ditch - Yet you firmly believe that your licking Dubya's taint in public somehow makes all of that go away. And then you call US "dumb defenders of a bad president".

Like I said, you strutting jackass - You have NO idea what's really going on.

i just watched one of the people that cod finds enlightening say, in all seriousness: "if jfk was alive today, he would be a republican". the response from the rest of the panel on the news show was complete laughter but thank you, william cristal, for the giggle of the day and for a perfect example of why neoconservatives are quite frightening. so reality is what you say it is...i thought that was a liberal hippie idea of the 60s repackaged from zen....

Over the last few days, many people said things that JFK "would have" done or 'would have" thought about the world today. Of course, he is not around to correct them.

The trick is that neoconservatives are also religious fanatics, and are quite comfortable with the concept of faith-driven "gifts" such as prognostication, prophesy and magical foresight - As long as it's THEM making the calls on what's "ordained" to happen. And they don't let little things like being consistently dead wrong shake their confidence these abilities, or in the "divine authorship" that is supposedly powering them, in any way.

In fact, when they make HUGE errors in their predictions, mistakes so enormous that they can't get away with simply looking the other way and pretending it didn't happened, their number-one default position is to claim that some evil person - Usually a "liberal" - Intentionally screwed up their divine plan; That's the "ONLY WAY" it could have gone wrong.

I've met a few intensely-devoted neocons, and to a one, they are what a competent psychoanalyst would call "delusional" - They've just stumbled across a politically-expedient form of delusion.
